Introduction

Cinelabs Beijing is a joint venture between Kodak and the Beijing Film and Video Laboratory and is housed on two floors of a purpose-built 3,000 square metre facility.

The facility is operated and managed according to international practices and is fitted with world-class equipment with all chemicals imported from distributors of the Eastman Kodak Company.

Cinelabs Beijing has established a comprehensive quality measurement system, which complies with Kodak standards to ensure processing that meets international expectations for quality.

• We boast our own water treatment plant, to ensure that the water used to process your film conforms to the water quality considered suitable for photographic processing and film washing.
• All production areas operate under constant 24-hour temperature and humidity control with selected rooms under positive pressure to facilitate maximum cleanliness.
• Our ECN-2 processor is fully equipped with an uninterrupted power supply to avoid film damage due to power failure. It also uses air knives, which replace wiper blades and avoid unnecessary physical contact with the emulsion side of your film. This helps to significantly minimise emulsion scratches.
• Release prints are also checked on our high-speed film projector.

Skilled and experienced color graders deliver accurate results according to the filmmaker’s vision using our two Filmlab Colormaster Video Color Analysers. Our matched film comparator enables critical color adjustments and better color balance consistency from roll to roll; fine-tuning color after the work print has gone through the Video Color Analyser.
